Wookie…
Posted by saij20 on March 3, 2008
I first heard about a wookie and saw one when I watched starwars as a kid a very loveable creature it was and as I grew up I read a certain book by R.Bach and the concept of wookie changed, as the reference to a wookie meant something else there.
My first real encounter with a wookie was indeed a moment one would call a “OMG!!!” moment I was one fine sunday afternoon conversing with a certified angel, well it seemed an angel to me untill then and during the course of the conversation for some reason I said “wookie” and the reaction from the angel was “OMG!! OMG!!” and I wondered, what had I done to elicit a reaction like that. The angel said ”you just said wookie”…and I said which one did you get excited about “the bach one or the starwars one” ( knowing all along it was the Bach one )….The explanation followed for so far till date no one seemed to get it when the angel said “wookie!!”.
Wookies by nature are suppossed to be – ” Regardless of their looks, Wookiees are extremely intelligent and loyal, but may have a short temper, friendship with a wookiee is a lifetime commitment.” From personal experience I know they are as rare as the loch ness , the abominable snowman aka Yeti, the El do rado, Utopia, Atlantis, and many such fabled and mythical things but I am lucky I guess for I found one and was able to recognise it..lucky me ( patting my wn back ). They are very strong ( mentally ), relaxed and chilled out, don’t complicate things more than it already is, take it easy rather than fret and frown about something, very trustworthy, express themselves very clearly when need be…extremly lovable adorable….blah blah….oh you can go on and on about a Woookie…so I stop here..

May be a wookie is a work of utopia, but yaar, there are some real pals in life whom we seldom recognize when they bond us with invisible ties of friendship which is felt in times of need and deed. Lets acknowledge those real people as well, for at times am afraid, we realize their presence only when we lose them.
