Living on the edge..

All of a sudden there is a new dimension added to an already hectic and mad life , the belief that every Hyderabadi is carrying in his heart and that is ” Once you step out of your house , you cannot be sure you will get back alive or in one piece.”

Ever since the twin bomb blasts that rocked the city everyone has been living on the edge, with unexploded bombs being found or the news or rumours of  missing quantities of RDX and stuff like that, then happened the collapsing of th much touted,much delayed and very much a pain in the posterior of a Flyover in one of the poshest an busiest centres of the city ( two people died ), and this evening news from the end of my street where another mega expressway/Flyover is coming up a Generator falls from the flyover under construction ( another two bite the dust )…well I can’t at the moment inform or come to a conclusion as to who is at fault as the busck has yet stopped passing…its still doing the rounds. And oh yeah!! personally I am working everyday at a place where we keep getting calls every single day about a bomb planted somewhere in that huge place, where keeping security is no easy task. Luckily so far they have all proven to be hoax calls, but then all the lawyers in the High Court can talk of is…its the classic ” Crying Wolf!!!” scenario one of these when no one is going to be serious abut another “call”, the real fireworks will take place. Today we vacated the court halls for awhile as the bomb squad went ahead and checked out the threat whih proved to be nothing but a watch gift packet with some wires sticking out.

We are a cheery lot we lawyers, and I keep telling my friends ” Let the fear of Death be Damned “, for if you have to have to die there is nothing that can stop you, you could die in bed choked by your broken tooth stuck in your windpipe for all your care …..So live and be done with Death, if its your turn….
